Szafir the Caretaker

Szafir is probably the sweetest soul in the Clan. He is the main Caretaker, helping out with adopted offsprings and new parents, guiding them delicately through the tasks like feeding, playing and basically interacting with babies. He may not be the most respected member of the Clan but most of the dragons here are very fond of him and ready to protect him.
Not that he needs it, as they quickly realized because while Szafir may act nice and clueless if someone threatens the babies, his fury is on par with Chrobry's.
Between the two of them no dragon ever dared to as much as sneeze in the direction of the nests.

He is very patient and gentle when it comes to hatchlings and with his nurturing nature, he often helps Pytia in the Infirmary.

The first days in the Clan confused him. New and confused from being separated from his mother so quickly, Szafir quickly took a deep liking to Chrobry.

He always tried to follow him wherever he went, what finally resulted in the Guardian forcibly putting him next to newly adopted Riana and ordering to guard her. Taking his quest seriously he left Chrobry alone, sticking close to the little Skydancer.

Szafir became very exited about the eggs once he had seen them, and at the prospect of meeting the child of the Guardian, his fatherly figure. (Still oblivious about the fact that it may even became his mate)

After trying to instinctively burrow the eggs, he was assigned a babysitter, the ever-grumpy Sykstus.

His sudden growth spurge suprised everybody, though Martin found a productive way of spending his time, braiding Tundra's ever-lasting fur.

After Zofia's hatch he was suddenly reminded of his big size and weight and became extremely careful while regarding the little hatchling.
Chrobry had watched with exasperation how his daughter gets more and more defiant and stubborn chasing Szafir around, finally taking control over her with Lustrzana.

Now he sometimes takes Szafir along to their family walks, urging him to not be bossed around by Zofia.

Sykstus refused to be babysitter after his twins hatching, which Chrobry reluctanctly approved giving his role to Szafir. Since he knew most of the hatchlings this chore quickly became his joy, though Maria and Anne were nursed by their mother and could not join them.
