ABOUT
Being forced into a marriage to a man she would never love by her own family was the last thing Dazdite wanted for herself. All throughout her childhood she knew what would later be expected of her. After all, they were pure royalty. It was set in stone that she would be sold off to marry a soon to be king, either to keep peace between lands, for more riches, or for popularity. Her family wanted to be at the very top and in order to achieve that, they obviously had to work their way up by any means necessary. Dazdite spent many nights alone in her bedroom crying. She wanted an actual life. One away from servants, maids, parties, social ladders, fancy foods, huge ball gowns every day, being pretty and a perfect lady. All she wanted was true love and a small family to call her own in a village somewhere far far away. When she was in her teenage years, her parents hired a tour guide to stay in their beautiful mansion and give tours to important company. His name was Draven. The two were introduced and immediately hit it off. They formed a strong relationship in secret, spending as much time together as they possibly could. This continued for over a year when suddenly Dazdite's father informed her of a deal he had set up without her knowledge. She was to wed a prince from a nearby land and live out the rest of her days granting his wishes and ruling over the land. Dazdite told Draven what was happening later that night. To add more bad luck on top of an already terrible situation, her father caught them and had been informed of their secret relationship through the mansion staff. Draven was fired and forced out of the area, never to return again. Fortunately for them, they had already set a plan in case something like this was to happen. She packed her bags, leaving most of her belongings behind, only taking the important and special objects she possessed. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing. Dazdite also took a good amount of gold she had been stashing away for this moment. She set off the very moment she knew the coast was clear and went to meet Draven in their secret location. The two spent a year traveling around, never settling in one place in fear that the king and queen had sent out search troops. It seemed they didn't, however. After awhile, they stumbled into Blackhaven Elkmire, a wonderful little village hidden away in the shadows. Dazdite knew this was where she wanted to spend the rest of her life and start a family with Draven. And that's exactly what they did. |
