Fionn hated home. Absolutely hated it. She was tired of being pushed around by her older siblings and parents. So one day, when no-one expected it, she left. Her wings weren't fully useable at the moment, because she had broken them a few weeks ago to get out of flying lessons with her stuck up instructor Velitona. She kept them open and tilted forward so she could run slightly faster, but she strained to hold them there as she ran and ran and ran. Fionn eventually made it to a forest, in which she had to climb through bunches of trees and vines and then be smothered by more. She ran as fast as she could, hoping to get through the seemingly endless array of trees and vines and strange new animals. Eventually, she came across the withered edge of the forest, which was dusted with a light layer of frosty white snow. As Fionn took in the icy scenery around her, long thick green vines began to snake their way around her legs and wings, ensnaring her in an iron grip. Fionn went to take a step forward and leave the forest once and for all when the vines tripped her and began to pull her backwards across the forest floor. She thrashed around, hoping to somehow break free, but to no avail. As a last ditch effort, she let out a long, low guttural and anguished roar that woke up the forest and brought all its creatures to life. The roar brought a small ragepuff up to Fionn, where it perched itself right between her eyes. She watched as it twittered quickly, presumably to itself. Suddenly, hundreds of the tiny blue creatures burst out of the forest and began to tear mercilessly at the ensnaring green vines. Eventually, the birds had freed Fionn from her stifling green prison and fluttered soundlessly away.
As she scratched her nose however, the first ragepuff that had formerly been sitting on her nose landed on her feet with a thud and began pecking her, trying desperately to gain the dragons attention. Fionn looked down at the blue bird questioningly, but shrugged and picked it up anyway. Setting it down gently between the frills that were her ears, Fionn began to head out of the forest as fast as possible. She found the withered edge of the forest once again, but this time she stepped out into the frozen land of the Icewarden and all who called the place home. She went quickly, careful to avoid another catastrophe such as the one she narrowly escaped from in the forest. After awhile, she came across a male guardian swiftly trying to start his own clan? Curious but cautious, Fionn approached the stranger, not knowing he would quickly change her life for the better.
