Laurynes' arrival in Teres Obfucia was entirely unintentional. The Mirror had belonged to a neighboring clan, filled with violent and cruel dragons. The clan acted as a pack, much like all Mirror dragons tend to create. His clanmates would often abuse and injure him, creating a great rift between them. Laurynes was too afraid to journey out alone into the Tangled Wood. Laurynes befriended a dragon from Teres Obfucia during a hunting trip, and the two quickly became inseparable. After a close companionship had been developed, Laurynes let the secret slip that his birthclan was abusive. This led to Teres Obfucia driving the smaller clan out of the Tangled Wood and into the Scarred Wasteland, where they belonged. Laurynes stayed behind with his new clan.

This Mirror happens to be quite an odd one. Oddly independent for his kind, Laurynes finds Teres Obfucia to be a pack much better than the one he'd left, mostly due to their lack of a pack mentality. Laurynes is an excellent fighter, much like all Mirror dragons. He sees himself over no other dragon. If anything, the Mirror actively strives for others that they truly aren't better than any other dragon breed. Laurynes prefers justice over the benefit of himself. He's unfortunately quick to anger, however, due to how hot-headed he is.
