- Childhood friends with Cygnus
- witnessed Cygnus' transformation and was assigned to nurse her through it
- was always the ones to use words as her weapon of choice but after this started searching for a more solid power

- but there are hatchlings here ones so familiar to them both
- and Cygnus wants to build this place for them
- so Ashkari becomes trades-master, Cygnus searches for cures and bottles up her wrongness
- and it gets easier
- Ashkari brings snacks and they research and they do their jobs
- and there is joy in it after a while
- and there is strength in them after a while

Log 1
Subject has been growing at a steady rate, though refuses to eat anything but jelly, fish cooked with lemons and occasionally figs despite the plethora of food it has been presented with. Cygnus doesn't seem to be worried. To be fair her diet is mostly honey and coffee at this point.

The two tails seem to have the same prehensile properties as that of coatls, often being used to latch onto Cygnus or me. I think this is adorable and encourage with head-pats.
Subject responds very positively to head-pats.
Cygnus has finally quit baby proofing my study. As if my poor books could harm the child.

I've convinced Cygnus Lemonade Baby is not an acceptable term of address for the Subject. They shall be from now on referred to as Anshul. Little sunbeam. I love her so much.

Anshul started growing moss??? Went to consult Centurion on the matter.

The moss is apparently only the start of it. Centurion claims the creek Anshul pirits have taken a liking to the child. They recommend going on walks with Anshul often. I've foisted this duty off onto Cygnus. She needs to get out of the lab more anyhow.

They came back with frogs. I should have expected this. Cygnus has promised to take charge of their upkeep. We'll see how that goes.

Joined them on a walk. Almost had a heart attack when Anshul proceeded to take a nap at the bottom of a pond. She doesn't even know water magic yet!!!
Apparently she has gills

Moss is growing well. Anshul has picked up reading. She leaves manuscripts damp, but its a small price to pay. I've set of a rack to dry them in near the fire.
Cygnus has agreed to let her stay over at my place on weekends for lessons. She's so fussy, but its kinda cute. I've been given no less than three baskets full of snacks and toys.

Anshul insists on reading in the evenings after the sun has already gone down, because supposedly the day is only to be spent with hanging out or napping. She's made friends with both Centurion and quite a few of the Remus' kids.
I think I'll give her the spare halo for her hatchday. It would be good for her eyes.

Halos are not toys. Anshul seems to disagree. Half our residents keep blinking spots out of their eyes. This is fine.
