B I O G R A P H Y
Born of frost and twilight, Xephras's first memory is of waking on an empty snowfield, under a cloudless night sky and with not a single soul for miles. He knew only his name. For days, he traveled the icy plains alone, foraging in the pockets of trees when he was hungry, and flying when the weather permitted, and defending himself from wild creatures and beastclan alike. He was content for the most part, but eventually found himself longing for company.

The next time Xephras found himself among the frozen trees, he felt like he was being watched. It was the little things that tipped him off -- the snapping of a branch, sounding distinctly different than one snapping from the cold; unusual tracks; movement in the trees, seen just on the edge of his vision; a quick shadow from above, stalking him. A game of cat and mouse had begun, as he and the shadow chased and stalked each other for days, the dark form always managing to dart away from him.

Faster and faster the pair of them flew through the trees, until finally, Xephras was victorious and caught her, the female skydancer who had taunted him for days. She was as dark as he was, but where he was touched with the colors of ice and snow, she was deep red and dusky purple. Her name was Moira, and she enjoyed the chase. She confided that she was also alone, and Xephras suggested they travel together, as they made a good pair. Shortly after, the two of them also met another pearlcatcher, who claimed he was a traveler and healer, and was looking to find a new home. The three of them have been inseperable ever since, and founded their clan, the Black Ice Menagerie.
