Traveler, looking for his passion.

Uh-oh, looks like this precocious skydancer wandered a little too far from his home lair with Clan Battlewind, and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. I was born alongside two brothers, but all they wanted to do was fight. Papa said that's why they came to this clan, to fight for its leaders, and that I should learn, too. I don't really like fighting; you don't have to battle to be a good dragon! So while my parents were watching Brill and Beleneth topple each other over, I took that moment to see if I could go find my own fun... and fell from the Twisting Crescendo. If I was older maybe I could have fought my way back up, but maybe now I can find something out there other than fighting. Maybe I can find something that I can be passionate about. And maybe some day I'll return and share my journey with my family and the clan I was born into.

9.16.17
I entered what seemed to be a refuge for all kinds of dragons when I was still a hatchling. Because of my age, I was quickly taken in by their caretaker. But I wasn't about to wait until I was grown up before I started wandering around. Walking through the refuge, I somehow found my way to the doctor's lair. He was a scary-looking Guardian, but allowed me in and answered every question I had for him. The next days, he let me read books, watch him work and learn more about medicine in any other way possible. It was an amazing experience, but I have seen so little of the world yet, I must see what else there is to learn. So I bid the good doctor farewell and went on my way...

While staying with the Shadowborns’ clan, I met a cute coatl couple. They were always seen together in their own part of the cave, organizing and re-organizing their shelfs. Draugsi was a collector of anything and everything, and all his loot was organized on his shelfs. Temptress, his mate, was a general designer and organizer in the clan and she always had very clear opinions as to how the loot was supposed to be organized. Their hobbies fascinated me, so I asked if I could follow them for a while to see how they worked.
Collecting stuff was fun, but also tiring. I don’t think I want to dedicate my life to this, but it was still fun doing it for a day! Designing was more my cup of tea. I really enjoyed that great feeling when it looked good and I could feel that I had accomplished something. But there’s still so little I have seen, and so much more to explore!

It's been so long since I've written one of these entries. I've experienced so much in the past two years, but I'll try to keep it as short as I can. A lot of this is going to be hard to write, but I want to remember all of it.

I'll start at the very beginning: I had found myself in the Mirrorlight Promenade where I met a very soft-spoken, but eloquent Wildclaw named Ghost. She told me of her clan and how they were known for the silks they crafted and the jewels they'd refine to sparkle like stars. I was curious to see how these specialized craftsman worked. They welcomed me in with open arms. The matriarch, a fiery-coloured skydancer called Laba saw to it that I was taken care of, making sure I was always fed and comfortable during my stay. I briefly apprenticed under a spotted Coatl named Safiya who was rumored as the best silk spinner in the Sunbeam Ruins. It was a tiring and tedious process, but the resulting fabric we created was the softest textile I had ever felt.

The night before I was to set off on my next adventure, I watch as Laba, the matriarch is ambushed and struck down by members of her own clan. These same members would become a military of sorts, making sure no one could come or leave. This included cancelling my travels altogether. I was forced to continue my work with Safiya and her mate, making and selling silks as fast as we could to fuel the greed of the new matriarch, Persephone. For an entire year of my life, I worked tirelessly behind a loom for hours without break. My fingers blistered and scarred from working thread so vigorously. Just as I thought that this would be my life, the progressively wary and mistreated clan turned on Persephone and her underlings in an act of desperation. After a long fight, the tyrant was cast out.

I was finally granted the ability to leave and continue my travels. I had made many friends here, and despite the unfortunate circumstances, I will miss them and today I set off on a new adventure.
