Stolash

Stolash slithered out of the ocean as a hatchling, covered in blue moss that helped protect him from the drying effects of the air until he grew up. Once he reached full-grown dragon size, the moss became part of his hide, speckling him so that he can slide into the water and be perfectly hidden under the waters.

His camouflage lets him stay underwater for hours at a time, snapping at fish and swallowing them whole. He's not very happy when he has to emerge, or when the other dragons tease him about how if he spends too much time in the water, he's going to have his feathers turn to fins instead.

On the whole, Stolash is a friendly sort as long as you don't mind talking to him while he's in the water and you're on the beach. He gets on very well with the Marens, perhaps better than with the dragons of his own clan - but then, they don't judge his fondness for water. Whenever anyone asks him about his parents, he says they drowned and the Marens raised him.

Most other dragons don't believe him. Would you?
