______ Renault is the quiet, pessimistic Plague dragon, the mate of Virgo. His parents sent him to his old clan’s leader, Star, so that he could go out and explore the world, something that they had always longed to do, and hoped that Renault could be more free in his travels. In Star’s clan, he met Virgo, the glimmering skydancer with a mysterious background. He always felt like his story was so boring, so bland, but when he met Virgo, a dragon whose stories were like magic, his entire perspective changed. She made him sound like a hero, an adventurer, and helped him see himself in ways he never had before. He felt like he owed Virgo a great debt.

______ When Virgo told him how much she wanted to go back to the Southern Icefield, he immediately agreed. One, he owed her, two, he wanted her to be happy, and three he did want to explore more. When they got their with their week old hatchlings, the first thing she did was to find her old friend. Soon, they were fully integrated into their new clan. His job in the clan is a strange one. Caretaker of Hatchlings. Even if he is a pessimistic and often bored dragon, the hatchlings love him for his sarcasm and wit, even if they don’t understand what he’s saying sometimes. They (along with Virgo) can also see that he’s really kind hearted inside, and so he was nominated as #1 Nanny, a badge that was crudely drawn with scribbles all over, but he wears it proudly. He is definitely the best dragon to the hatchlings, and even once they’ve grown up, they still respect him for spending so much time with them.
