Biography
If you happen to encounter this dark fae and his mate, do not speak, make eye contact or even give themm a hello. And NEVER touch them. One of them has a severely contagious disease, the other is a vicious predator. Neither will say which is which.
Haven't been orphaned young, Shatter had to survive alone in the ruins of his lair and developed a harshness from the isolation and hardness of the wilderness that broke his hope of ever seeing other dragons. Where the adults of his lair had gone he does not know. When he encountered a broken, diseased and sick fae desperately trying to reach a doctor, Shatter took him in as his mate, not knowing what gender he was bot not caring. Finally he had found another like him! But the two were driven out of the lair by the Beastclans who drove them far off into Arcane territory. Unable to find anybody willing to treat a sick fae, they heard rumors of a lair where outcasts were welcomed, as long as they were knowledgeable about bugs. Finding said lair was easy, convincing him he was an expert of all the bug and arachnid species of the Plaguelands was a snap. But getting medical help for his new mate was not working out. The healers had never seen an illness like his, only that they called it the 'Vileness' contagion. And that is the only name anyone in the lair ever calls Shatter's mate. But in his head, Shatter calls him 'Beloved' though he knows the pessimistic fae would never accept such an endearment. Finally, Shatter had a family, a safe lair, and was no longer alone. He would have to keep these feelings to himself.
