Chrysopoeia
Chrysopoeia is a starter magician but she's incredibly talented and a fast learner. She preffers alchemy over her mother's magic, finding it easier to understand since it's more science based. Usually she can be seen around Baldwin's Cauldron throwing stuff into it when he's not looking.

BIOGRAPHY
A mischievous spirit of sorts, Chrysopoeia is known as a young genius. Incredibly fast as a learner and a natural when it comes to learning skills, specifically alchemy. Born in the Southern Icefields, her mother was pleasantly surprised when her daughter began to show promise in furthering her education. Unfortunately for her, Chrysopoeia had little interest in the arcane arts. The girl simply couldn’t understand how energy was transferred from the mind to matter, what she did understand was the matter. When Chrysopoeia was a month-old hatchling, Pinkerton, the grumpy Tundra, caught her trying to throw her own familiar into Baldwin’s cauldron while the old Bogsneak wasn’t looking. A close call, but Chrysopoeia was forever fascinated by the bubbles and the breaking down and building up of new things from the old.
Acedia never tried to force magic on her daughter, instead, she encouraged her to search for a place where she could expand her knowledge and there was a clan in the Tangled Wood where she could do just that and be happy. So, when she was old enough to travel, Chrysopoeia packed up her things and hugged her mother good-bye, a tearful parting. After promising to write soon and often, Chrysopoeia found herself flying across the Ashfall Waste to get to a new, mysterious land. The leader of her new clan, Clivus, welcomed her with open arms and let her have access to a cauldron and a small alchemy hut all to herself. While humble, it was amazing for Chrysopoeia. Soon, the shelves were filled with fragrant herbs, a variety of insect and animal parts, and a weird assortment of eyeballs. Day and night, the cauldron glowed and brewed. She still throws odd things into Baldwin’s cauldron while the old ‘Sneak isn’t looking, although now it’s a friendly game. The two get along extraordinarily. Chrysopoeia may still have a lot to learn, but she’s come a long way since joining the clan. Having an experienced alchemist around has helped tremendously. She’s no healer, but she knows what ingredients combined can cure a fever and what can soothe a bee-sting rash. Mostly, however, she’s experimental. Nothing pleases this Spiral more than throwing random ingredients into her cauldron and recording the results. More often than not, this results in a lot of smoke and Chrysopoeia constantly smelling of cauldron residue, but, sometimes, other things are known to creep from her brew. |
