Clad in blue, the Beast Tamer, Aethos, takes the stage. With a flick of his whip and a swish of his cane, he causes his trapped souls to form magnificent arcs across the stage to entertain the audience. Nobody is quite sure where the creatures come from, but with every performance, the audience howls with animalistic delight at the suffering.

Although Aethos takes great pride and joy in his cruel work, he still has time for personal pursuits. Enthralled with the beauty of the herbalist, Quartz, he attempted multiple times to court her. Eventually, they formed a partnership, not out of love, but out of a mutual understanding of what their combined power could accomplish.
