Biography

Sparklemist
Young scientist, laboratory assistant

Class: laboratory worker
Other: Not for trade or replacement

Sparklemist, currently the pinnacle of Adore’s research into genetics, is the complete opposite of his biological mother (who is also his father, though that is a story for another day): whereas the geneticist is confident to a fault, Spark (as some in the clan have dubbed him) is very listless and self-deprecating, to the point that some of his more emotional clanmates refuse to have anything to do with him. This affects him more than everyone (including Adore) realizes, leading him to spending most of his days in the lab acting as his mother’s assistant or curling up in a secluded spot in the clan territory and watching dragons go by–a difficult task, to be sure, considering his size and color, but he always manages to be unnoticed, a fact that in a way only serves to sadden him more.
And he never intended to get involved in conflicts.
He was too afraid of Ehrenfest and Reichstein to enter the beta-33 labs. If thats true, what he heard about them, they were related to Celcius ... he preferred not to risk it.

MrFrenchFrybrows wrote:
The tortured, damaged masterpiece of the crooked scientist Adore, Sparklemist just wants a life of his own. His faith in dragonkind hasn't completely drained yet, but it is slowly sinking as the days pass, waning to a sliver.

When the hours tick by and Adore hasn't found anything to do, he will lose himself to daydreams, wondering what it would be like to have his own home. A family, maybe. A family that loved and cared for him and put him to bed and fed him whenever he got sick instead of injecting more viruses into him to see how much his immune system could take before it shut down.

Are there really dragons like that out there?

His egg was discovered and eagerly captured by Adore in her younger, less dangerous days.
As he grew alongside her, her ambition grew, too, inspiring her to showcase her talent in worldwide science competitions.
She began to use him as a test subject.
And then it became normal.
And then it didn't stop.
He remembered crystal-clear the day it happened, the day she destroyed his legs and remade them the way she wanted to be, so that she could show him off at the next hellish convention she dragged him to.
Oh, he remembered that, too.
It made him want to be sick just thinking about it. The hot limelight. The deadpan silence as the glassy-eyed obsessives took notes, and the alloyed devices propelled his heavy body onstage, shakily taking step.
By step.
By step.
And then, among the whirrs, there was a click, and then a few more.
And then he died.

Or at least, it felt like he did. He couldn't really tell, the world slipped so willingly, so fast.
Maybe it was meant to be, he'd ponder sometimes.

Maybe she was supposed to have found him.

Maybe it was how he'd escape.
