Gingerbread

Uh-oh, looks like this gingerbread man wandered a little too far from his home lair, MintyDragon 289458, and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

I've been in this lair for as long as I can remember, and everyone's like family to me. Ariadne looked after me when I was sick, Maestro taught me how to fight, and, most importantly, Rosanna was like a mother to me. Unfortunately, I have grown restless and long to be on the move. I want to feel the wind rushing past me as I soar through the skies, and I want to discover new places and make friends.

I informed the clan of my decision today, and although they were sad to hear that I would be leaving they all agreed that I needed to get out more. The going away party will be held tomorrow and then I will leave the day after. I must go for now, because Zenith and Moon are pestering me to play with them.

The party was exuberant and filled with joy, but I'm sure that the knowledge of me leaving tomorrow lingered in everyone's mind. I won't elaborate more on the party, for even the thought of it brings tears to my eyes. At least this is how I will remember my clanmates, filled with joy and smiles on their faces.

I haven't packed anything yet, and I don't plan to, because I would like to travel light. While I am gone, Labyrinth will look after Willow, my familiar. I only hope that she doesn't try to follow me.

As much as I try, I cannot get to sleep, so I think I shall leave tonight. I wonder who will find me missing tomorrow. Will it be Rosanna, coming to wake me up, or possibly Vykos? I won't know, for I will be soaring over the trees, off to discover new places. I shall go now, for the dawn is beginning to peek over the tips of the trees.

I appear to have been blown into Light territory. I found a very hospitable clan nestled in the cliffs overlooking the ocean, though completely by accident. The sea breeze was quite strong, and I ended up getting pulled along until I saw a nearby ledge, which ended up being one of the entrances to the clan. While I appeared to startle a vibrant spiral, she was none the worse for wear, and after the initial confusion introduced me to the rest of her clan. Every dragon is extraordinarily different from each other, in both hue and trade, yet they function as a single cohesive community. I was taken to their storerooms, alchemical compound, a metalsmithing studio, even a massive library with a golden stained-glass ceiling. Their kindness is appreciated, but it reminded me of the community which I have left, which still pains my heart. Thus, I have decided to carry on, though these friendly dragons encourage me to visit if I ever need a liar to rest in.

Once again, I ended up in Wind territory, to a clan of dragons with strange, almost-impossible stories. They were welcoming enough, but their matriarch, Rafadel, was rather strict and scary. I have stayed with them long enough, so I must leave now before I start to have doubts.

I stopped by an inn called The Leaky Cauldron. There are all types of dragons here. Magic everywhere magic in the air.... and the butterbeer here tastes heavenly. Alas, I cannot indulge myself for too long. Perhaps I should leave.
