Taimana

Taimana is priestess of the gems in Jötunheimr. She is the only one who knows the secret gem ritual that is performed to bless the clan with more of the strange currency, and is the only one who is trusted to keep the clans hoard of the valuable item safe.

Dresden sent out Airtongue to search for a dragon of the gems, and Airtongue spent many months on the search, before winding up in the domain of the Earthshaker. The clan Taimana was with was dwindling, having not been blessed with gems and many of the dragon fleeing and not hunting and gathering for food. Taimana wanted nothing more than to get more and hoard gems.

Although many dragons in Jötunheimr have a few gems of their own, only Taimana has access to the hidden treasury full of the clans hoard of gems, and only a few dragons know even how many gems they have. Whenever gems are required she is loath to let even a few go.

Outside of her job, she is rarely seen in Jötunheimr. She almost never leaves her post, spending time sleeping there and having her meals brought to her every day. Sometimes Strangetail visits, as the two seem to get mysterious information and orders from the same entity. Taimana has an accent that is strange even for an Earth dragon, and often speaks in a language few understand.
