Biography
Welcome to Flight Rising!
Hello, I'm Copenhygen.
I'm here to tell you all about the Festivals! Just a few tips and tricks, nothing much - don't forget to check out your flight's forum's for more info!
Festivals are run once per month in celebration of a flight. There are 11 flights, each with their own festival, then in December there is the Night of the Nocturn Festival! This introduced the Nocturn dragon breed a few years back.
So, the elemental holidays go like this:
January: Crystalline Gala (Ice)
February: Trickmurk Circus (Shadow)
March: Mistral Jamboree (Wind)
April: Wavecrest Saturnalia (Water)
May: Greenskeeper Gathering (Nature)
June: Brightshine Jubilee (Light)
July: Thundercrack Carnivale (Lightning)
August: Flameforger's Festival (Fire)
September: Starfall Celebration (Arcane)
October: Riot of Rot (Plague)
November: Rockbreaker's Ceremony (Earth)
December: None. (Well, the Night of the Nocturn)
Each festival presents new skins and accents, new familiars and apparel, as well as giving the opportunity to participate in player-run events.
There is a skins and accents competition that is run a week or so before the festival - details of which are usually posted on the FR home page.
Then, during festival week, search the forums for the Festival Hub. This is where you can access all of the awesome events going on - some will be art-based, or puzzle based, or related to the dressing room - all with a theme corresponding to the element whose festival it is.
There is also the out-of-flight (oof) and in-flight raffle - this is where you can send in dragons to receive an exalt price in treasure or gems and receive raffle tickets. The higher the level of the dragon, or if the dragon fits to the daily exalt bonuses, the larger the amount of treasure, gems, and tickets! These tickets enter you into the draw for some cool prizes. These prizes can be chests of loot, familiars, apparel, treasure, gems, skins, accents - all kinds of things! The dragons you send in are exalted, so you receive the "medium" exalt price. You might receive more if you exalt them yourself but then you don't get to participate in the raffle!!
During festival week, you can purchase skins and accents from the marketplace. Also, Festive Favours is open - here you can buy items from the Elemental Festival Shop using the Festival Currency (found from gathering items in the element's flight, or from coliseum drops from monsters of the same flight, or in chests sometimes too!) or you can visit Joxar's Spare Inventory where you can buy a special token and earn a chest and the chance to attain a "revamped" item that is no longer available!
