"If you could not turn our lair mates into frogs, that would be great."

A rescue from exalt and a gift from somewhere in the lands, Shale came to be in the lair at a rather young age. She grew up learning the tips and tricks of alchemy that were seemingly lost on the rest of the dragons in the lair. It was also upon picking up these talents for Alchemy that she learned about the surprising amount of frogs in the lair. It didn't take her long to figure out where the frogs were from and how to fix it however. From that point on she made it her personal mission to keep the lair founders Charm and Seran from turning other dragons in the lair into frogs. She still has no idea why the plaguelings think that this is a good joke. Shale doesn't find it funny.

Fixing most of Charm and Seran's idea of a joke was honestly much easier than she thought it to be and started trying to develop a counter measure to keep the two plaguelings in line so that her lair mates would no longer be turned into frogs again. It took her longer than she thought it would, but she finally did find a way to make that a reality. At least on herself. A quick gene change and a potion that she wouldn't recommend for anyone from taste alone, and she was immune to the plagelings' dark magics. That thrilled her to no end. It also annoyed Charm who now knew that she couldn't be touched by his Science either.

So now Shale spends her time undoing all the dark magics around the lair and getting the place livable again. It isn't an easy task, but it is one she takes willingly and finds herself enjoying it quite a bit. She also found herself with a bit of a protective friend in her Familiar Morn. The Manticore knew good and well that Shale would be at risk and decided to stick by her to keep her safe. She doesn't know it but it is without a doubt thanks to Morn that Shale lived past her first successful reversal of Charm's dark science.
