Winny

• Seemed to get it right after hatching, spent a lot of time scratching
• After a day or two, the hatchling's scales started to darken
• Her parents seeked help for their hatchling, giving her ointments and creams to help with the itching
• When her scales started to fall off, they worried of how contagious it would be. She was only days old, and they had four other children to care for.
• During a practice hunting trip, smothered in ointment, they held a competition on who could catch the most insects
• Both itchy and determined, the spiral hunted down as many insects as she could, with frequent breaks to scratch and gnaw at her skin.
• Eventually, with her tiny hoard, she went back to the starting point. "Mom?"
• But nobody came.
• But nobody came.

• She shivered in the dark that night.
• When she found home again, it was not her parents who took her back out, but their clan leader, telling her she wasn't allowed to come back, and it hurt, but those were the rules.
• Crying, trying to go back until she was let in, given hot food, but her parents were cold, and her sibling whispering.
• Drugged food. Someone flew her out far with gloved paws, dropping her and leaving her there, lifting off before the spiral could wake up.
• More crying in the morning, wailing and bawling, walking, hoping she wold find home
• So itchy, she was so itchy.
• She scratched so hard she saw bone, she felt her claws scrape it on her face, her back, scales patchy on her body.
• Screaming and crying, it lead the bogsneak Minnie to her.
• "Shh, shh, hey," It was much needed comfort, screaming and crying that she was dying.
• Taken to the den, a new ointment being made and spread by fat paws
• Hot food, skewered insects, "Stole them from Pome's hoard." Winny didn't care.
• It was the least itchy she'd felt in so long, and with a little bit of magic, she slept peacefully and warm against the bogsneak.

Old enough to take care of herself now, Winny left her Bogsneak caretaker. She flew far and wide searching for a new lair to call home. A vast forest awaited her. Magic filled the woods and trees and everything within. Protection. Safety.

She's greeted by a massive Guardian her second night. He welcomes her to the woods; to their home. He sees she's capable and caring of others. Her affliction doesn't bother him. There are many Guardians who have different traits and oddities. They welcome all dragons of all walks of life.

Seranus leads her to the Lair. They talk a long time about the Guardians and their cause. Winny joins, meeting the other dragons and making new friends and companions.
