______ Claw was on snow, as the cold air pressed onto his face. Adrenaline pulsed through his veins, his heart thumping in his ears. Thoughts swirled in his head, daring to distract him, but he pushed them away. "Almost there"A warm breath started to trickle down his shoulders and a pair eyes started to peer. With his last boost of energy, he hurled his body toward the tiny cave, wings tucked in. Pain shot through his body as he slammed onto the hard, stoney floor. A claw came in seconds later with a furious swipe as the fluffy mass backed away into the wall. Panting, he laid his head onto his claws, as a sharp growl of frustration came from the opening. Heavy thuds soon echoed in the cave, growing softer and softer until no noise could be heard. A Tundra poked his head out nervously, ears twitching. He wedged his way out of the tiny opening to be met with a wall of the chilly air. Escaping the warmth of the cave, he stretched out his wings and flew off into the mountains that towered over the chilly forest. "Dear Arcanist, I'm going to be late!" He pounded his wings harder as he picked up the slightest bit of speed. A light flickered in the distance, a warm glow surrounding it. The Tundra's fur pricked with excitement. He swopped down and folded his wings to his side as a steep cliff came into view. A few feet from the cliff and ground below, he rescued himself with a flap of his wings, his feet reassuringly clambering onto the cave mouth.

______ "Cavador!" a voice thundered up ahead "Late as usual"
The snowy Tundra started to open his mouth, until another voice chimed in,
"Don't even think about talking back. You're late to the meeting. Nothing is going to change that"
Dark, looming figures stared at him, dissaproval in their gazes, the torch light highlighting their silhouettes.
