Thorn

The whisper of fabric moving was easily lost among the rustling of leaves, the tall trees shivering in the early morning breeze. Thorn slid easily from branch to branch, sharp eyes focusing on her target. The dragon on the forest floor turned, looking behind him for something, but that moment of hesitation was enough for her. Thorn eased her bow off her hip, an arrow finding the string easily, and she let fly. The arrow barely let out a hum as it flew straight and true, and she smiled grimly as the dragon fell heavily to the ground. Another mission success.

Thorn looked around for any witnesses, but this deep in the forest it was unlikely. Once she was certain she was clear, she wound her way down to the ground to retrieve her arrow. There was no need to leave evidence of her presence, after all. A few flicks of her tail and any trace of footprints were erased on the hard ground, and she flicked her wings to glide back over to the trees where she could take to the canopy once more.

She would report her success once she got back to the small copse just off the Trading Post, but she wasn't in a rush. Her skills were in high demand, but getting caught by an attentive sentinel could put a damper on her day.
