Bacitracin was the first friend of the Prince of the Sun and Moon. He grew up in the Land of Sun of Moon, since his parents were both Moon Gods. When he first met the Prince, he didn't even realize who it was at first. He just figured it was some other kid running errarands for his parents like him. But Bacitracin soon found out that it was the young Prince Zeamays who ran away from home.

In a fit of panic Zeamays told Bacitracin everything about his life at home. Bacitracin had always wondered why the people of the kingdom saw so little of him, and he was horrified to finally know why. Sadzi and Badru, the queen and king of the land kept their own son (as well as their daughter, Disconsolate who was only a year older than her brother) on a tight leash. they didn't let their children socialize with anyone else. They were completely isolated from everyone but a select few that their parents varified as being proper company for their children. Zeamays was forced into sword fighting with his father. He was forced onto his father's hunts, and he was forced to kill. He told Bacitracin that he hated it all and that he was scared. He just wanted a friend.

So Bacitracin said that he'd like to be the Prince's friend. And he meant it.

The Prince would sneak out every week to meet with Bacitracin. They would play games and Zeamays was allowed to feel like a normal kid.

Until Badru caught the children red handed.

Bacitracin doesn't remember much from that day. He remember Zeamays screaming and crying. He remembers being locked in a cold, dark, unforgiving chamber and being completely alone. The cold. Oh Spirits. It was so cold. He felt so frozen that he thought he would never thaw. To this day Bacitracin still gets chills.

Sometimes he's mad he cannot remember anymore details about that day. But other times he's glad. Maybe ignorance is best.

He and Zeamays never played together again after that. As the years passed and Zeamays became a major god, Bacitracin assumed he forgot about him. But Zeamays proved him wrong when Bacitracin grew from a fledgling god until a full fledged God of Nature. Bacitracin became the God of Medicine, and he became one of Zeamays' subjects.

Zeamays invited him to his palace when Bacitracin became a full fledged god. And when they were alone he gave him a hug and cried. He told him how much he had missed his friend through the years, and that he was sorry for what had happened. Bacitracin simply smiled and hugged him back, saying he was happy to still be his friend despite all the years that had passed.

The two are still close friends to this day, but they never talk about the incident.

It was dumb luck that Bacitracin ended up in Zeamay's Kingdom. Bacitracin had always had the desire to help others. After learning the truth behind the King and Queen he wanted so badly to help Zeamays, but after the incident he could do nothing for his friend. His helplessness drove him to do good whenever he could. He wanted to make a difference in the world. So he learned about healing. He learned how to heal others both physically and mentally. He invented the concept of medicine and became the world's first doctor.

The other gods scoffed at him when he became the God of Medicine. They thought medicine was useless. They thought gods didn't need healing because they would always just regenerate. Bacitracin scoffed at their ignorance. If the gods didn't need him to mend their bones, then he would heal the mortals. He taught the mortals all of his knowledge, and Bacitracin started to push for more awareness of mental illness within gods. Sure the gods might have been safe from the flu and broken bones, but that didn't stop things like depression and PTSD.

Still even today the other gods mock Bacitracin's efforts, but he doesn't let them deter him. He would heal them, whether they liked it or not. He couldn't help Zeamays, but he could heal the gods, if they would only listen to him.
