Biography
Example bio/story
Short:
Cyberia moved to Lightning from Shadow when she was a youngster. Her interest in programming and technological innovation has made her a valuable employee in Stormcatcher's Lightning labs.
She likes to have fun with her Coppercoil Creeper. The two of them are often seen bounding up ravines in a raucous game of tag or playing a game of "Deflection" where the goal is to deflect a bolt of lightning between the two of them until it's power diminishes to that of a static charge.
Long:
Cyberia stumbled over yet another cable and muttered under her breath. She had learned that loud noises attracted unwanted attention in the Carrion Canyon, so she quickly scanned the area for suspicious movement against the canyon walls or among the sparse desert plants. All remained quiet so she carefully unrolled a small map of the area with the various cable placements clearly marked. There had been power disruptions back at the lab and the problem had been traced to this general location but the technicians had been unable to exactly pinpoint the trouble. Being a new intern, Cyberia had been the logical choice to investigate the matter.
Someone had definitely been changing the cable connections here. She wondered if a competitor had been rerouting power to their own lab. It wasn't unheard of but the penalties for borrowing power from a lab were fairly stiff so it didn't happen very often. Perhaps this was just some sort of test to measure her skills out in the field. Whatever was going on, this mess needed to be sorted out. Breathing out a heavy sigh, Cyberia marked on the map which cables had been changed and then donned some protective rubber gloves to begin the arduous task of reconfiguring the cables. Since she couldn't stay alert to other dangers while she worked, she activated a small golem to keep watch until she was finished.
Several hours later, Cyberia entered the main lobby of Lightning Labs. She was tired and dusty but also felt a sense of accomplishment. After confirming that her repairs were successful, she turned in her paperwork showing the locations of the problems and of the repairs and then began to move further back into the work areas of the lab.
"And where do you think you're going with all that dust and grime?" huffed the Imperial clerk.
"I'm going to the decontamination room to get both myself and my equipment clean." Cyberia replied, then winked and added, "or I could leave 2 hours early and clean myself up at home."
The clerk hesitated for a moment but then just tsked and waved her on.
Inside the decontamination room, Cyberia picked up the last piece of equipment that needed cleaning - her security Golem. As she removed the sand and dirt from it's metal surfaces, she started thinking about how it could sense movement, determine if that movement could be a danger, and then show her the direction of that danger. It was very precise. When the power disruptions began, the lab technicians weren't able to be that precise. They were only able to narrow down the problem to a small general area. She had still needed to search the canyon for almost an hour before she found the problem. There must be a better way to isolate problems in an electrical flow. She began to get excited. This was the type of problem she loved to solve. She may only be an intern but she was confident that the proposal she was already outlining her mind would be well received.
