Rosie

Rosie has been alive longer than most of the dragons in the clan, and had lived as a nomad with her partner for centuries before finding her way to 'the clan of misfits' as she coined the term. She loved to tell stories in her olden age, whispering to the hatchlings stories of love and war, all with more truth than old Rose wanted to admit.

She was hatched alone in a tower, a princess with a curse over her head, and banished by her native clan before hatching. She grew up sad and full of despair, but as she matured many came seeking for her hand as she was a princess after all.

Years passed and she tired of waiting to be rescued, and instead sought a way out of the tower herself...by jumping out the window and getting her poor behind stuck. This was the day she met Cupin. A wandering snapper out looking for more things to write in her book of knowledge. When she found Rosie, "it was love at first sight," Rosie would recall. Cupin broke her out of the tower with her big claws and Rosie was eternally grateful, promising to repay Cupin before she ever left Cupin.

Days turned to years and years to decades before Cupin decided to ask Rosie to wed. Most snapper dragons mated for life, but Cupin worried that Rosie would not agree to it. "She brought me up to the tallest valley..where snow flecked the fields and tickled our noses...and she wed me there..spending the night in a warm cave talking the night away as we waited for dawn." Rosie couldn't believe Cupin when she asked, but agreed to it "as a promise to repay Cupin for saving you??" hatchlings always asked. "Ha ha" she would say popping the hatchlings noses, "I just loved her."
