Lux bared his teeth at the opposing Guardian male, Aladar. Lux planned to take over this caravan clan, and planned to do that now.
Aladar lunged at Lux, aiming his teeth for Lux’s neck, but Lux swerved just in time, spinning around and pinning Aladar to the ground. Lux went in for the killing bite, when an aqua-colored Guardian female - possibly Aladar’s mate - rushed into the arena cried for Lux to stop.
Lux looked up, surprised. The female’s eyes shone with worry. She stood up to Lux, and said quietly, “We will accept you as our leader if you let him live.”
Lux pondered this. Power? Given to him willingly? All he had to do was to spare this dragon, and he would be the leader? He made up his mind.
“Yes.”
