Biography

3rd gen

- Lived in Wind & Ice clans

The Guardian was born to a Water Tundra, his mother who has settled in their clan at a young age, and a Wind Guardian, who was the son of the clan's leaders. His clan (Gingersnaps) was filled with dragon with strong family ties to the clan. While his nest brother Endor found his Charge serving the Plaguebringer, his other nest brother, Powder, stayed in their birthclan and found a lovely mate named Enchantment.

They lived happily there, in their small clan, for a long time. Eventually, however, the Guardian decided it was time to leave on his Search. His father Deimos too felt it was time to leave the Windswept Plateau and chose to join the coldfire clan, a prosperous tribe in the Southern Icefields. His mother Taina thought it would be fun to accompany the Guardian, at least for awhile. She wanted to see more of the world and the Guardian had no objection to having a travel companion. Truthfully, he was actually a bit nervous about leaving his birth clan and the Windsinger's domain. He didn't really even WANT to leave on his Search, but he had already put it off too long.

By coincidence, he and Taina also ended up in the Southern Icefields, like his father. The Guardian felt it was an important stop on his way to find his Charge. Clan Diamond Dust, a clan known to harbor Elder dragons, welcomed them to their territory on 5/4/15. Taina was very interested in learning more about this land, as her species had originated here. While the clan's dragons were quite friendly, contrary to the cold reputation of Ice dragons, Taina knew that it wouldn't be a permanent home for her. She wasn't yet sure if she'd continue the journey with her son to find his Charge or strike out on her own, but there was no rush to make that decision. Meanwhile, the Guardian felt the same way. He knew this was an important stop on his Search, but he struggled to figure out his next step. Should he continue to travel with his mother? Should he strike out alone? Where would he go? Now that he had really begun his Search, he felt quite anxious for the next step. To pass time until something happened, he helped his new clan gather food and supplies and tried to make it feel like home, even if it was just temporary.

On 6/12/15, Taina was approached by the Ice clan's leaders to see if she was interested in traveling to an Arcane clan. A Fae from that clan wanted to move to the Icefields, but the clan was reluctant to let her leave without another Elder dragon to take her place. Taina was excited about the opportunity to move to the Gardens of Gehenna and discussed traveling there with her son. The Guardian told her that he needed to focus on his Search, which was pulling him in a different direction, but wished her well on her own journey.

On 6/14/15, the leaders of Clan Diamond Dust approached the Guardian. A Nature Clan was looking for dragon born on his birth date - the clan believe it was an auspicious day and wanted to invite him to their clan. The Guardian immediately felt a pull towards The Viridian Labyrinth; perhaps this move would finally lead him to him finding his Charge. He eagerly began his journey to his new clan and new life.

~

On 11/17/15, the Guardian was finally gifted a name. "Schuyler", meaning protection and shelter. An Apt name as he had become very protective of his clan, and especially of the odd little fae named Cosmos.

He was also informed that he may be undergoing some changes, the Matriarch would grant him a new pattern for his scales. "Something with a little flair," she had said. The Guardian was excited for this new prospect, and waiting eagarly for the time to come.

Though he had yet to find his Charge, Schuyler was contented with where he was now.
