...DESCRIPTION...Clan Patriarch / Den mother / Vengeful God There is a light that courses through his blood. It writhes through his mind, festers beneath his skin, teems through his body until it erupts in scars of storm and fire. Shadows peel off his wings and lightning shatters over stone, an encasement of luminescence, thousands of runes glowing like fractured sunlight beneath water. In wisps of freckled gold, whispering blue, angry heat, he smolders. The rivers of ember etch into bronze, tracing familiar valleys through his scales. It's fire that oozes from his bones, expression of inferno, of battles won, of crackling light that flickers and roars, of thundering soul. Passion is burnished into his armour, an embodiment of gold and splintering flame, concentrated into ribbons flecked with metal. He stands, illuminated by light within that cracks his skin and bleeds in rivulets of fire, by pride and elegence, spirit burning. (credit) |

...STORY... He’s one of the more cool-headed and peaceful dragons of the clan. Of course, the snapper has to be or else he wouldn’t be able to deal with an onslaught of hatchlings daily. They pester him, poke him, and drown him in a bottomless sea of questions. Lonnie just sits there in the center of it all as if it were nothing. To withstand the chatter of young dragons daily took stamina that was on par with the Deities themselves. Unsurprisingly, Lonnie was just as willing to defend these hatchlings as much as if they were his own. Nothing will stop the snapper from standing in between him and the children he’d been entrusted with. Once Lonnie has even heard word of someone threatening his children, he will go out of his way to ensure the threat it put down. Killing is not out of the question for him; he’s willing to do it if necessary. Not everybody is comfortable with the hatchlings being around Lonnie. It wasn’t that he goes to the extreme to put down threats and more of the fact that the snapper was a living volcano. Lava dripped down the crevices on his face, sizzling whenever a drop hit the ground. The hatchlings would screech in delight as they tried to wind in between the snapper’s leg whilst evading the molten rock spilling from his mouth. Lonnie couldn’t tell which was more humorous: the hatchlings’ idea of even attempting such an act, or the paranoid adults watching. (credit) |
