Biography
It wasn't something he was unfamiliar with. Hunting was an art. It was something that took patience and time to master. Both of which he had in abundance. It was like a game of cat and mouse. He would wait, hidden and silent, until his target was within striking distance. And then, like a snake, sprang up and with a single snap of his jaws, it would be over.
He studied snakes and other limbless reptiles for years. He watched how they moved. How they hunted. How they lived. It was something he was drawn to, something that piqued his interested. Being snake-like himself, he couldn't help it.
But this was different. He wasn't hunting to feed his clan. He was hunting, to further dragonkind's cause.
In the heat of battle, the others were separated, leaving Christopher to fend for himself. Not that he was concerned. He kept his body low to the ground, like the snakes he was so fascinated with.
Growls, roars and howls echoed above him. He was in the middle of the battle, yet he was undetected. He slithered forward before stopping abruptly.
He was caught. He shot out of the grass like his tail was on fire. He lashed out and sunk his teeth into the first thing he saw. The Centaur wasn't at all pleased with this. The Centaur kicked and bucked, tossing Christopher around like a ragdoll.
Had the Centaur not fallen victim to a hungry Imperial, it surely would've been Christopher's grave. He escaped with injuries, but intact.
