More of a force of nature than anything else. He was not born in the Ice Flight, but he is fiercer than the natives of the clan. The harsh deserts and upper lands of the Lightning realm are as dry as the Ice territories are cold, and no dragon's scales are safe. It is no wonder Allos' skin is cracked and in parts pale-- surely some of it must be scarring from the harsh territories he has survived in. However, what drove him from the Lightning realms was just that. When outside his birth clan's underground space, he never managed to find the tunnels leading back. He did survive, but he tired of trying to live in the arid climate. Feeling some yearning for a Charge, when he was able to engineer at least a bare minimum of protection for his hide, he flew to the south, thinking there would be at least some respite. He did forget the blizzards to the south. When he crashed into an icebank, his mind went white. When he did wake, he found himself crumpled on some tundra, the storm over, and a piece of meat near his mouth. Weakly he looked around before snatching it. A Polarfreeze Defender looked on. Did the creature aid him? A sudden surge of emotion poured through him- "Was I destined to come here?" The Defender looked on, unaware of the Guardian's newfound Charge-ly feelings towards it. As a guardian of the region, the defender often saw incoming drakes buffeted by winds, and at times, would help those who survive those crashes. However, it could not do much in the way of moving drakes, particularly Guardians. It's clan to protect was nearby though, and in time, it was able to bring some scouts to the weak Allos. The clan's dragons were able to eventually move the massive Guardian into some relative safety. At the same time, the Guardian Allos did not wish to be too far from the Defender's position. "New Charge-feelings, happens often." a clan member said. After some time, Allos recovered and remained with the clan on the condition that he work towards recreating some devices he had learned of in his time with the Lightning Flight. He was also as such required to go out and about to make trips for supplies and such, or to aid missions to recover such materials needed for various projects. On these trips, he has started to look more and more like an ice drake to avoid suspicion in strange territories in the ice realm. His mate, whom he met in his time in Ice, oddly enough also tends to this habit of "look-like-Ice" despite being from Wind. Allos commonly says, in order to survive in a harsh realm, you must become the harsh realm. Become closer to it and through that understand the technology to cope with it. |
