Ghost

Ghost can't leave the Broken City, but loves to explore the endless tunnels and empty buildings when she has time to herself.
Today she found something interesting.
In the basement of a ruined tower, she found a relatively normal-looking cellar, though it had no doors aside from the misshapen array of missing bricks through which she had entered. The walls were grey brick, and shelves lined the walls, most empty but some holding jugs of wine. The floor was covered with a flaky, reddish-brown substance, and when the iridescent spiral scraped some off, she noticed a crude drawing of a dragon was etched into the floor.
This sparked Ghost's curiosity, and she began clearing away the crust, which was darker and redder on its underside. The drawing she had found first, however, seemed to be the outlier, as most of the shapes scattered across the stones were unfamiliar to her, though there were a couple others that may have been dragons.
She was beginning to lose interest when she noticed something sparkling slightly from underneath one of the shelves and floated over to investigate. Squinting, she could just make out a silver necklace, with a single large diamond fastened to it. And suddenly, nothing had ever been more important to the shimmery blue dragon than getting it.
The spiral pressed her shoulder against the floor and stuck her arm out as far as it could go, she could feel the cold metal with her fingertips but couldn't quite grab it.
She scrabbled her blue claws against the floor but began to grow desperate when she still couldn't grab on. The iridescent dragon backed up, got her bearings, and lunged against the floor, rattling the shelf and sending a jolt of acute pain across her shoulder. Ghost was more concerned, however, with the feeling of cold silver in her palm as she pushed against the shelf with her other arm to extract her talon and the treasure inside it.
This motion, however, rattled the shelf and caused one of the jugs to fall, bursting and splashing not wine, but what looked like watered-down oil onto the floor, making foul-smelling rings of color on the stones.
Ghost lurched backward and let out harsh barks of breath, not knowing if she was gagging at the smell or laughing at her victory. She placed the amulet around her neck as the oil ran and slowly filled each of the drawings.
The spiral grinned and admired her treasure, sure that she had never seen something so beautiful in her life. Staring at her reflection in the pale blue facets, the dragon realized what the room what for...
and what she needed to do.
