Biography
______As the plated shell cracked open, the small bogsneak tumbled onto the spongey ground, those watery blue eyes opening. Immediately around her, she saw a pack of dragons, finned crests flared in interest, and too-many-eyes staring down at her. They chittered and yipped amongst one another, and the pack of three circled in around her. A darting form, far-too-small in comparison, moved to stand before her. 'Stop!' it barked, loud yet flat, and the other dragons gave pause. "The small protect the small," one of the larger dragons remarked, earning whooping, barking laughter from the other two like it. "Come brothers, Mother smiles upon this hatchling, today." They turned to stalk off, whip-like tails swishing behind them. They moved into the wastes, heads low, and gait fast, as they continued their hunt. ______Now that danger was gone, she looked around her. The floor was dry, if a little strange in texture, and there was a few scattered bones about her. The grubs in the area were making their way to her egg's now-empty shell, sensing an opportunity for a meal. "Where is this place?" She asked, her oversized paws clumsy, as she tried to stand. "The Scarred Wasteland, the domain of the Plaguebringer." The fae said, moving to turn and face her fully. "More specifically, the vast expanse of the Abiding Boneyard. I am Tirrel; I don't have a clan of my own, but I am familiar with these parts." He took his scarf, and lightly draped it over her, like a comically misshapen blanket. "You'll want to find a clan of your own, though. Until then, would you travel with me?" She turned to look at where the mirrors had stalked off to, frowning, before looking back at the fae-- at Tirrel-- and gave a toothy smile. "Yes, I think I will." |
