ETYMOLOGY.
Mephala is the Daedric Prince whose sphere includes lies, sex, murder, secrets, and plots; she enjoys seducing and interfering in mortal affairs for her own amusement. She is known by the names Webspinner, Spinner, and Spider. Her summoning date is the 13th of Frostfall.

ABOUT.
The thirdborn of Boethiah, Gladiator Prince. Born with pulsating, toxic gembond and blood-laden wings; held in her parent's arms, they murmur to her of how she will ruin kingdoms, topple empires, and eat gods alive. They coo and smile, the hatchling laid across their lap as they watch their gladiators fight for glory. Mephala grew up with two sisters and one older brother, and to combat the potential favouritism his parentage might have brought, they were all thrown in the deep end. Mephala survived those tests but always favoured manipulating from outside, rigging which gladiators would fight which to bring out the most entertaining, the most gutwrenching fights. Whilst she was more than capable, it was far more fun to watch someone else fight for her.

It was simply more fun to manipulate, to lead the men and women on with her sauntering and her whispers, to have them rally for her favour and kill to keep her. All of it a lie, of course, all of it to see how far emotions would extend, how far she could push those around her- all the while encouraged by Boethiah, smiling, a hand on her shoulder. To be a force within the world, that was what she was born to be, and she fulfilled it from when she could first talk. Not to discredit her own abilities. She was a fine warrior herself, above average in tenacity and fiercely violent when duty called, but the ring was not her home, her home was always the shadows.

Once everyone had been used and abused by her, by the time everyone knew her game and the influx of fresh meat into the Calling slowed, the pull to leave began to sing to her. She could wait, but it would be better to move on, where her reputation had not yet reached, and find new ears to whisper to, new webs to spin, new games to play. Now an adult, fully equip to deal with what life would bring and squeeze her own gains from whatever hand she was dealt, she left on her own, unafraid, gently laughing.

TRIVIA.
• Some of her emotions are faked for so long they become genuine- but they never stop her from finishing her plans.
• She has a soft spot for spiders, collecting them when she sees them, and finding beauty in their forms.
• Her glowing gembond is toxic, though she rarely warns anyone not to touch it. They made their choice, they have to deal with the consequences.
