She was never much like the rest of her family. Where they revelled in stealing from the rich, right under their noses, flaunting their wealth on the way out and never looking back, her gaze always lingered. She would insist, thrusting a golden necklace into the hands of a surprised servant, apologies on her lips and narrowed eyes at her mother's back. She liked her father more, though even as a teen she would wound him with words, his weakness in conceding when he pleaded himself to Horakhty and followed into this hedonistic lifestyle. Rebelling in her own way, she took an oath to protect the weak, an oath to never take what she did not need, an oath to fight. And fight she would.
