Born to darkness, a beloved secret hidden away, Riras was raised apart from any clan. There are some out there that would seek their death for nothing more than living in this world. The clan one of their mothers resides in, the one their other mother bitterly calls a cult, has banned their existence, and their mothers’ love. Raised by their other mother, Azami, a courtesan with a secret past, Riras was rarely allowed to go outside, until their mothers believed they were ready to face down potential threats.

Riras was trained by his mother in dark and forbidden magic when she was able to sneak away from her clan, and he was also trained secretly by Azami in the ways of the blade. Riras prefers to wield the dangerous magic his mother taught him, but he is a restless and jealous soul. He often finds himself ignoring his skill level in order to push himself to magic he is perhaps not ready for yet. He must be careful; not only is this unstable magic liable to quite literally blow up in his face, but Riras might also one day find himself tapping into dark magic that controls him instead of the other way around.

He is now ready to bid a loving farewell to their mothers and set out to find a new home.
