Farao was once a great and beloved leader of a vast region of the Southern Icefield. His father had been similarly revered, but had been killed by a jealous advisor who wished to be king. He was able to pin the murder on someone else who was executed for the crime, and Farao took him on as his own advisor. However, he did not let him have as much influence as his father had - something that made the advisor all the more angry and bitter. He began to plot Farao's downfall, realising that it would be suspect if he killed the new king too.

It started with subtle manipulations and underminings of Farao's authority and rule. He also managed to convince others at court to help, promising them riches and power should he succeed in bringing Farao down.
