was stolen from her nest as an egg and held prisoner by yselle for a long time, in some attempt of yselle's to create an unfailingly obedient hatchling. the hope was that, on being connected with other imperials (dead or alive), she'd be able to exert yselle's will as some sort of pseudo-emperor before yselle had to commit to the real thing. however, the dead imperials that were attached to her remained dead, and it was only her plague heritage that kept her from dying.
what yselle didn't count on was systole bonding with one of her newer captives as an adult, and when that captive provoked yselle into an argument with her by insulting both her skills as an arcane dragon and flashdance, systole was able to escape.
she's making her way to the clan amygdali told her she was meant to go, and when she gets there she'll tell them everything. and then she'll save amygdali, no matter what it takes.
