Crescent

Crescent is so named after the appearance of the sun the moment he hatched from his egg. Some took it as an ill omen, something odd and uncanny... Especially in Light...

Crescent may seem dark, strange, and unusual for a light dragon, but really, he's a beam of truth and insight. He is studious and rather somber, typically staying in his chambers for most of the day, but he is also wise and intelligent. He is often judged for his origins and has fought all his life to change dragon's point of view on dragons born on days such as he was.

He is a philosopher, and even though his coat is the darkest dark, his light shines through. In fact, his favorite motto is "The inner light always shines through the darkness. No matter how dark, true light will always shine through." Currently, he is studying ways to long-term combat the forces of the Shade, and he believes that some dragons hatched on the day of eclipses may be a candle in the darkness, especially to others that may be struggling with darkness. He believes that they may be a corona of hope, since they were born with great potential for darkness as well as light, a sign that anyone, no matter their birth, can combat the forces of the Shade... "The children of Light cannot be smothered out."
