Biography
Arun
It wasn't his fault. yes it was
He didn't quite have a body then. But with magic, he could focus on Sornieth below. It was a boring existence. Until he caught sight of them.
A genius, they had devoted themselves to studying the stars, him to be specific. The sun, the best star of them all.
And he fell in love instantly.
They had journals of detailed drawings, pages and pages of careful notes. They were so cheerfully exuberant as well. For the first time in millennia, Arun wanted to do more then just exist. And he learned for the scholar. Learned how to burn paper so he could write. Committed their replies to memory. But he wanted more.
It was mean't to be a surprise. The day the moon covered him marked the beginning. He split away a piece of his essence, a piece of him, and sent it to the earth below.
The moon moved away... and he was left alone in a campsite.
It wasn't until nightfall that he found the answer. The scientist he loved had the same idea but in reverse, They had harnessed the magic of the eclipse to change into a constellation.
they could have been together
They picked up communication fast though but it wasn't enough. He was more careful, told them he would come to them. Surprises didn't seem to work well. But how? This body was built to last.
Arun had been on Sornieth for mere days when he got his answer. Hatchlings had been born on the eclipse with old souls. Souls that had been moonbound.
Oh yes, He could use this.
