Hyperion

The clan calls her Hyperion-- a bit haughty for a dragon that won't speak much (though she's certainly aloof enough)-- but you're not sure what to make of that (especially since her pronunciation of her name is blocky at best; she says -ion as an individual word rather than an 'eon' tacked onto the end of 'Hyper').


She came inexplicably on a dark day-- yet cloudless. Bugs sprang to live as if under the cover of night, the sky dimmed to a dark twilight... but the sun remained in the sky, covered by the moon. Surely something caused by the Arcanist. Surely something explained away by the Stormcatcher. Or perhaps it wasn't native to Sornieth at all-- something alien.


Her eyes aren't eyes, really. They glow, like gateways or lost stars. There's something odd about her pearl-- the way it glows and pulses when it shouldn't; the way it floats away from the ground when she lets go to continue her studies. Her motions are strange-- graceful, but overly calculated. Some members of the clan swear they've seen her phase through some of the walls...
