"The Maren's Tail constellation is in the sky tonight. Any dragons hatched under this will likely have personalities of selflessness, empathy, and-- gah who am I kidding. It literally just means that it's winter.
The day of the Great Solar Eclipse of That Monday a Few Years Ago was, coincidentally, also the day that Corona hatched. The whole clan immediately deemed Corona's hatchday "a sign," and have since been more than ecstatic to encourage Corona to study the stars. Corona enthusiastically took up Eridani's offer of apprenticeship, but after a week or so of star-charting, he's become less and less interested in the celestial bodies, turning instead to the study of ancient runes. Because of this new-found hobby, many of Corona's star-charts are now illegible, having been written in various dead languages.
