Surya, the Incarnation of Empathy

Guards are posted inside the clan's boundaries and may be sent to deal with external threats. They are often sent to escort precious cargo or merchants to and form their destinations. He hatched the moment the moon covered the sun in a solar eclipse, this has made his magic a lot more powerful than normal. Surya loves him and often lets him rest on his head. If he were to use it now, he would probably cause a lot of collateral damage and maybe kill himself accidentally. Yikes. - He hatched during a solar eclipse, this has somehow greatly enhanced his magic. - He likes to call himself independent and hates asking others for help. - Surya has taught himself many skills from poetic writing to speaking similarly to a Coatl. - Orion is actively trying to figure out just why his magic is extremely powerful whilst help him control it. He wonders if he can harness this. - Surya as a hatchling was a part of a group of misfits in the clan- these being Isaac and Radinen and himself. - He's got a lot going on under the persona he displays. - Surya can reach into the minds and dreams of dragons to see what's bothering them. Depending on how much he cares for them, he will be stuck there. If he cares for them a lot, he will be stuck there for quite a while. If he barely cares, he can leave almost immediately. He calls this ability "Mindsmith". - If they wake up and he is in their dream, it would transition to their normal mind. It will portray what's bothering them with more accuracy and he won't have to wander to find what's wrong. - He is the kind of dragon to fall into a pit and die even though he can fly. - Sometimes he, Magdalene, and Fui go on waaaacky adventures! They have a weird obsession with eye agates and birds. They like to go to supposedly haunted, though likely just abandoned places and pretty little meadows and whatnot. - While he can eat insects as other Pearlcatchers can, Surya prefers to just eat plants. - His satchel contains a small dagger and journal. - Solar Eclipse - Surya carries his pearl in his satchel at all times. Origin Story Surya was found by some Lavaburst scouts, specifically Starglider, Naathim and Celestine, while they were scouting the domain of wind. They noted that it was strange that the egg was alone far from any nearby groups. The team leader felt the need to rescue the egg, so rescue him they did. They turned Surya in to the caretaker, where Tourmaline took care of the egg for while before the couple Birch and Fuyu adopted him. A few days later, he hatched the moment the moon covered the sun in a wondrous solar eclipse. His parents took it as a sign. Surya grew up to be kind and emphatic, his parents were careful to be good influences. They would always spend time with their son, taking time to visit the park or take him hunting. One day, he heard humming, singing and laughing from another room. Peeking out of his room, he watched his parents laugh and twirl around as they sang and laughed. He saw love for the first time. Needless to say, the relationship between him and his parents was always pretty good. As he grew older, Surya began to try utilizing wind magic. However, it was extremely powerful and every time he'd use it, he would accidentally break something or harm himself or someone else. Birch and Fuyu, concerned, had Orion, a powerful magic-user, help him in control it. This is how he met Orion's son, Isaac. Isaac and Surya were fast to friendship, the two sharing many interests and having similar humor. He'd make many such friends such as Hypatia and Radinen over the years of taking classes at the academy and etc. He, Isaac, Hypatia and Radinen were a band of misfits when they were in school. After graduating from the academy, he, Isaac and Hypatia trained under Kaiden for a while to become guards, eventually becoming Guard Squad B. To this day, he is trying to control his magic and to better himself as a dragon.
