Sol is the Latin name for the Sun.

Another Light dragon added to the clan...

Most treated her like any other dragon but some were wary, concerned that she was born under a bad sign. Others thought it was rather lucky to be hatched under a solar eclipse, as it was a rare event and so few were.

Her black cat companion, a treat from mibykurl's clan during Halloween 2017, added to her reputation - was it unlucky? Sol didn't think so - as a companion, the kitty was rather cuddly and friendly.

One of the younger dragons in the clan, Sol was allowed to explore different career fields before finding her "place" in the clan. She initially expressed interest in weaving, but decided that she would rather bring a different specialized skillset into the clan, as they already had a cloth weaver. Sol travelled to some regions that specialized in sea grass basketweaving and did an apprenticeship to learn the skill. Although it would take many years for her to be an expert, the Imperial was already producing nice-looking baskets that would help the clan store materials, food, and trinkets, as well as harvest food. She was also working perfecting braiding for the edges, to help with the decorative aspect.


In her free time, and to take a break from basketweaving, Sol also did elaborate embroidery. Due to the length of time projects took to complete, she often did smaller work for accessories, like bags. Every now and then, with the proper compensation, the Imperial would work on larger projects, such as robes, cloaks, and dresses, but generally such requests were too costly for most dragons, who would prefer to hoard their treasure.

Ice Flight Trick or Treat 2017

As the youngest in the clan, Sol was selected to be the representative for Ice Flight's 2017 Trick or Treat. After poking through some extra apparel in the clan's stores, she chose to dress up as a Sea Witch.

Checking her map, the young Imperial landed at the entrance to the next clan on her list. "Greetings," she called out. "I mean, Trick or Treat!"

Sol's cloak fluttered in the light breeze, but fortunately her costume kept her from getting too chilly. There had to be some magic at work, since fish seemed to float around the Imp as if they were in water. A little bag hung at her side, doubling as a prop for her Sea Witch costume as well as a bag for the goodies she hoped to collect.
