The Hollow Knight xxx Do not think. Do not feel. Do not hope. Do not.
A construct of Wyrm, Root, and Void created with the intention to act as a vessel to seal away the Radiance, a goddess of light.
They were created to have no will, no voice, and no emotion, however this would prove to be unsuccessful. After being sealed with the goddess, she took hold of their not-so-hollow mind to spread a plague across the kingdom through the dreams of dragons, eventually leading to its fall.
It was thanks to their siblings Ghost and Hornet that the Radiance was purged from their mind and existence.
The infection and years of imprisonment's toll on the vessel was harsh, leaving them without an arm and blind in one eye. They tend to be quite socially awkward, having lived a life pretending to be void of emotion, however they are very gentle and kind despite their intimidating and battle-scarred appearance. They're surprisingly good with children, and seeing them dozing in the sunlight as hatchlings clamber over their massive form is a common sight
