Biography
Oracle of the Clan
...A Light dragon that strangely seems to have the power of prophetic vision, independent from the Tidelord's whispers or the gifts of the Water flight, Aster has frequently given his clan much cryptic advice, rarely explaining the reason for his suggestions. From stockpiling specific items to the entire clan having to move from one location to another, Aster does not attempt to prevent the future, though he will do everything he can to protect his clan from any calamity that might befall the Viridian Labyrinth. From rising floods to unexpected cold snaps, Aster's visions have consistently prevented the loss of many lives. It is because of this that even the most stubborn of clan leaders do as he asks without question. Because of the immediate obedience on the part of even high-ranking dragons, some clan members believe Aster may possess too much influence over decision-making. Thankfully, Aster is satisfied with his current place in the clan...
With his visions coming to him suddenly in dreams, Aster often struggles with insomnia, primarily due to prophesies often revolving around death, sickness, and calamity. When he sleeps, rarely does he dream; and though he has visions almost every single night that he rests, not every dream matters or is useful. A bird falling from its nest is heartbreaking, but of no concern to the Guardian that eventually finds and eats it. Because his sleep is depressing, or sometimes frightening, Aster typically keeps his lair somewhat isolated from other dragons, though closer to the private den of his mate, Grevillea. In this way, Aster is not completely alone, but disturbs no one if he happens to wake up terrified in the middle of the night. Although being very social by the nature of his kind, Aster is content with the sometimes-distant affection of the Bogsneak he loves.
