Introducing my first attempt at the jaguar/rosette gene! This is the second mate to Phobic, finally got the perfect girl for him. Her genes are much tighter and at the moment she is in dire need of some genes. Jaguar, Rosette, and Gembond coming her way! Not to mention attire

A more in-depth look at Heretic.

Heretic was always a cool word. I don't know, might change it to Viral like his last mate was. Fits the whole open sores thing I had going on. Am I gorey? I do like me some gore. Macabre mostly but sometimes you need to go that extra mile.

Well as it turns out, gembond is actually not an expensive gene despite it's limited rarity on the genes chart. Weird, never had gembond in any of my pairs ever. This time though, it seems to work with the chaotic dots that reign supreme in this look. Jaguar and rosette are also cheap so.. this was an inexpensive overall project.

Heretic didn't feel at home in this new age. The creatures were smaller, ecosystems seemingly less aggressive, and at the top of this world seemed to be creatures without claws or teeth. Having lived many lifetimes over, she found it all very confusing. Still, life had ways of surprising her. She didn't hate these humans, she almost admired how strongly they clung to life. It was admirable for something so weak. She didn't have a need to eat very often, she found either cliffs or murky lakes a primary location to sleep or relax in general. She could stay motionless for years, blending in the the terrain. The humans never seemed to take notice of her so she enjoyed watching them work. They were much more complex than they first seemed. They had intelligence she didn't. They also lived in groups, something she didn't have. She was unsure if she was the last dragon left. Maybe one day she will have to go searching.

As she waited for hunger to drive her to lift herself from her current spot in the murky swamplands, she watched as many humans came and went. It was interesting to her when the first group of humans discovered her. They seem surprised, nervous, but very curious. She had a greater understanding of their culture by this point, though their technology often confused her. They had taken many pictures of her and one thing lead to another, more and more humans came to see her until they finally decided to do something about her being there. They had offered her some meat, which she ignored. She wasn't sure why but she decided not to speak with them or even acknowledge that she understood them. To the humans, she imagined she came off as any beast in the forest.

When the humans became more curious, they opted to try and move her to a location more favorable to them. This seemed like an adventure to Heretic. She was interested to see what they had in mind for her, so she allowed them to get her moved to another part of the world. They had relocated her to a large area that had been designed to give her a lot of space but wall her off from wandering too far from their cameras. They were interested about her diet and her behavior. Especially her temperament, which was always very gentle to these creatures. She didn't care to move around much, picking her favorite spot among what they gave her which was actually quite beautiful. She opted to lay beside a pond, blending herself against the rock outcroppings there. She enjoyed watching the humans as they watched her, totally oblivious.
