Fotiá
While not much of a traveler herself, Fotia is hard to miss when travelers wander into her charred domain. Most commonly found in the charred remains of recently burned forests, she rests in the most inner, burned locations where supplies are few and far between. There her constantly burning mane lights her up like a glowing campfire, causing tired travelers to often approach in hopes of finding shelter for the night. Though it’s often quite a surprise when they finally grow close enough to recognize Fotia’s true nature. Not that she is truly threatening, almost seeming to enjoy her guests, so long as they pay the toll.

Fotia’s toll is truth, the truth of who her guests are and where they came from. Attempting to fool her with a story rarely ends well for those guests, but should they speak the truth, no matter how gruesome or incriminating the story those guests will be allowed to stay. Once done it is said that should you wait long enough Fotia will tell her story to you. Though it’s often a jumble of constantly changing dead languages and riddles, and it’s rare to be able to decipher even a piece of her story.

Though all that matters for those who seek her out is that they hear it. Old whispers say that should she tell you her story, should she trust you as you did her, her fire will cleanse you. Those who walk out of the woods having heard Fotia’s tale walk out with a clean slate, a new person, no matter if that’s for better or for worse.
