Biography
"I am the chosen one, glowing with the glory of Lightweaver!" |
Sol
Light Ambassador Theme
Prideful || Redeemed || Friendly
Sol was born with the full glory of light. The mighty pearlcatcher hatched with scales that glittered with dazzling golden light that both blinds and entrances all who look upon him. As a hatchling he was told that it was almost as though he were the child of the Lightweaver herself. This great praise at such a young age led to him to develop an over inflated ego and sense of self-importance. Although still quite cheerful and friendly by nature, he also developed extreme vanity bordering on narcissism. As he grew older however, he began to realize his bond with the Lightweaver went no further than the color of his eyes and scales. No matter how much he invoked her, he never heard or saw the mighty deity. Yet the dragons around him still treated him as though he somehow represented the golden goddess and he decided to use that to his advantage. Sol began to peddle fortunes and prophecies which he falsely claimed to be from the Lightweaver herself. Many dragons paid him to hear what they thought were divine preaching’s and he established great renown across the lands of Sornieth. All believed that because of his dazzling gold scales and glowing light eyes that he must be the son of the Lightweaver. His travels eventually led him to the plague territory where he came across the members of Death Clan. Among them was an aging fae who acted as their light representative. She too had golden scales but hers had begun to dull and when Sol looked her in the eyes they were green. He was shocked to find a wind dragon posing as a representative of the Lightweaver. At first he was outraged but soon he realized that even if she was a wind dragon, he was still the greater fraud. Even if she was of a different flight, she truly worshiped and devoted herself to the Lightweaver while he simply pawned the god’s name for a few gold coins. Felling for the first time in his life ashamed, Sol humbled himself and begged the fae to train him into a true light representative. The gold fae was growing old and weary of her position, so she taught her young apprentice all she knew about how to honor the Lightweaver. Although Sol dwarfed the fae with his incredible size, he came to truly respect his mentor. Eventually the time came when his teacher was satisfied with his learning and she stepped down from her position of light representative and Sol took her place. Not long after, his mentor left the clan, borne away on the winds of her true flight. Sol never saw her again. Although he was sadden by the loss of his close friend, he took to his new role in the Death Clan. He became a true representative of light. Bio by @Skyleidge |
