___Ornita had the face of an angel or a delicate flower... and the temper of a petulant two-year old. She always tried to contain it and maintain a nice composure, but how could she stay quiet when she was being wronged?!

___"Ornita! Why did you just fly away in the middle of the discussion this time?"

___Great, of all the dragons who had to follow her, it just had to be her crush. "I don't want to talk about it Khrys! Just leave me alone!" She tried to sound nice about it, but it came out snappy and angry. She winced a little, but it was barely perceptible under the movement of her opening her wings to take off again.

___"But you never want to talk to me..." She suddenly stopped in her tracks, nearly tripping over her own feet.

___"That's not..." What was she supposed to say?? She just didn't want to bother him with her tantrums and scare him away! Her original anger was rapidly shriveling away right now though and she was losing the adrenaline it gave her. She ended up frozen in her awkwardly balanced position.

___”Ornita?" Khrys moved in a little closer and Ornita really did fall over this time while trying to back away. His eyes narrowed slightly in confusion. "Okay, seriously, what's happening?"

___"It's just I uh... don't want you to see me angry," she murmured the last bit mostly to herself, but Khrys caught it anyway.

___"Why not? Your emotions are a part of you, too."

___Out of lack of a response, Ornita actually ended up running away out of embarrassment after Khrys said that.

___Ornita laid down carefully on top of the hill as she watched the stars begin to come out. To be honest, she had spent a lot of time thinking about what Khrys had said to her. It really helped her come to terms with the way she acted and gave her more control of what she did. Emotions were a part of her, so she could do better controlling them was her thought process. That's not to say she didn't still blow up in other dragons' faces or screech uncontrollably sometimes, but she also learned how to calm down afterwords.

___Looking up at the sky every night helped with that. It gave her a sense of peace, looking up as the stars moved ever so slowly across the sky. Sometimes the little things she felt so angry about in the moment just didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Her realization of this fact had only improved since she and Khrys became mates. And he always made time to help her out when she felt especially bad.

___"Sorry I'm late!" A welcome voice broke her out of her thoughts.

___"You're fine." Ornita looked up at Khrys as she said this, gesturing for him to sit next to her. "I just got here."

___"I'm glad you didn't have to wait long then." He smiled as he sat down right next to her and Ornita was already feeling better about her day. "So, anything you need to get off your chest for today?"
