Biography

Summer

Adventurous | Mischievous

Personality:
Summer, named for her birth season, is the leader of the Sun Clan, a group of dragons existing under the rule of the Light Dragon. Despite her position, she is often found causing trouble and pranking older dragons. While the hatchlings adore her for this, the elders of other clans ridicule the dragoness for her childish behavior.

She takes great pride in her wings, which give her the ability to fly through the free skies and go on many adventures. However, as a clan leader, she can't go flying off whenever she wants, something that her mate must remind her of when she's about to act on impulse.

Background:
When she was a young dragon, Summer was exiled from her kin. The Mirror dragon had different eating habits than her siblings, and was harder to care for. She did not wish to run across plains, but instead fly in the skies. Unlike her family, her wings were soon trained to not tire easily, and she found herself in more contact with other species. She developed leadership qualities from these uncommon encounters, and soon was pushed away from her family. Summer was an anomaly. A Mirror dragon who loved other species, chattered from dusk until dawn, flew her way around the world, and wanted a clan with true leadership was not desirable to her kin.

After her exilement, Summer wandered for weeks without any other dragon contact. She then came across another anomaly, a lone mirror dragon that had left his kin by choice. While Ben was aggressive towards her at first, the two soon became friends and went on many adventures together. One of these adventures is rumored to have been a victory against a wandering Emperor dragon, but not every dragon believes it, though Summer still has a scar on her neck to prove it.

The first dragon to join Summer's clan was a wandering Imperial dragon. Micheal was young when he joined, and Summer was naturally drawn to protect him. The two soon grew a Mother-son relationship, and she took the young dragon under her wing. Micheal was taught everything Summer knows, including old Mirror dragon tricks that she would never use herself.

Mate:
Summer's mate is Ben, a Mirror dragon with a calm personality that is often balancing her's. The two are often seen flying the skies together or laying out in the sun in their free time. The two currently have nine hatchlings to their name, and Ben often has to keep Summer from running off and being immature with them.

Her Story:
Summer and Ben ruled their small clan of three for many months before their first nest came along. The hatchlings were extremely adventurous and yearned for battle. Soon, all but their only daughter at the time, Spring, went off to join the fight for flight dominance. Shortly after, a skydancer female named Millionia and wildclaw female named Lucy joined the clan. Millionia quickly took to Micheal, and the two became mates.

While the clan was struggling for resources, two dragons, rainbow-colored mates, named Willey and Orchestra came bringing gifts. As the two saved the clan, Summer was quick to offer them shelter and membership. The mates agreed and created the clan's schooling system for hatchlings. Soon after, a pearlcatcher dragon approached the group in his search for a noble clan. He soon joined, and, along with his new mate Lucy, began running the clan's nursery and caring for the hatchlings.

Summer and Ben's second nest all ran off in search of adventure as encouraged by their parents, but their third nest were less ambitious. Superia, Summer's fourth daughter, wished to be a hero, and decided to stay behind in her clan and train under the warriors. Hunter, Summer's fourth son, also wished to find a greater purpose in life, and stayed in the clan to study and train. Luckily for the two hatchlings, while on a rare vacation, Summer came across two more dragons near an ocean front. Lucian and Winter joined the mirror dragon on her flight home and were convinced to adopt the clan as their own. Both warrior dragons added to the clan's power, and were eager to share their talents with the curious hatchlings.

During a travel period to take a break from their lair, the clan came across two dragons, one of which was trapped by a large mountain avalanche. Through the bravery of Ben and Spring, Taurus the Bookkeeper was saved, and, along with his mate, pledged allegiance to the SunGem clan.
Saving dragons is how Summer and Ben came upon many of the next members of their clan, including a young Wavebreaker dragon named Louise. With his addition, dragons from far and wide came to join the clan of adventurers and warriors.

Unfortunately, once the lair gained ninety members, there was a great horror that ran throughout the clan. Yuzu, a Keeper of Ruins, prophesized a dragon who would bring about the downfall of the clan to be born to the Main family's line. The five direct descendants of Summer that remained within the clan, Spring, Superia, Hunter, Masaki, and Evergreen, uproared against this prophecy, claiming that their children and their children's children would do no evil. This caused turmoil throughout the lair to have the five fighting amongst themselves, and so Oceanar the Wise, the mate of Superia, held a mating ceremony for his only son, Villaine, to bring the clan back to harmony.

Indeed, this did bring the clan together for a day of rejoicing, but on young Villaine's day of mating, another prophecy was told by Yuzu. "On the week before the hatching of the destroyer's first nest, there will be a hatchling born to the clan that will bring the light of the sun and Lightweaver to cleanse the darkness. The hatchling will reflect the colour of the night on its scales, hide its magic in its wings, and vanquish the terrors of the night with a single glance. The hatchling shall be born of the angelic dragons' descendents, and turn to a dragon that the night revers and fears upon its transition into adulthood."
