______ Whereas Paikea is responsible for the Hatchling's battle education Puppet has put herself in charge of historical education. With both her parents having worked the Archives Puppet has always had a thirst for knowledge but hasn't inherited her parents love of filing. Instead she takes the histories recorded in the scrolls and retells them in exciting epics that the newer members of the lair can understand. Donning the traditional face mask of a storyteller she is a bubbly and cheerful dragon always researching new techniques and new stories, mostly with the help of White and Panda. The Hatchery's annual Play, the story of the world's creation as told by hatchlings wearing hand-made paper plate masks of the deities, is an ever-evolving affair and a tradition beloved by proud parents. She tries to educate through song and dance with limited success, depending on how cynical her audience is. Her companion is a wooden puppet that has been enchanted by Nocturnes to be able to move without a puppeteer that goes by the name of Jack. It loves to hide in boxes and often hides from the spiral, only to be re-found during a performance or pop up unexpectedly to scare her. The pair are popular with hatchlings and she can be most often found in the Nesting Grounds alongside Shoot singing such hatchling favorites as 'The colors, flights and numbers song' and 'Don't stick bugs up your nose'.

______ Puppet is a gentle soul and her feelings are easily hurt, though she tries as hard as she can to be resilient. She constantly worries that she is not liked by anyone and tries to appear sunny and cheerful at all times, even when she feels like crying. She has very low self-esteem and needs constant reassurance that she is doing alright. Her paranoia comes in handy as the main source of entertainment for a motley handful of Hatchlings whose burgeoning Wind magic often escapes their control. Foster takes care she feels as safe and cared for as any of his charges.
