Biography
|
Isokel is a brave and noble fae, with the spirit and heart of a true warrior. She believes in what is right, but will always be open to discussions and debates, especially when regarding the safety and well-being of the clan. Her memory and faith is what keeps her going - and is also what guides the members of the clan in their journey.
"I woke with a jolt; I felt the whole den tremble, I heard something crack, then a spitting, crackling coming from far below. My deep green eyes flashed with horror as I frantically looked from side to side, but soon realised that my mother and my siblings had fled already. Beginning to panic I let out a frightened cry. I remember feeling the heat burning through the bark, then before I knew it, I was thrown from the comfort of my den - twisting, thundering, tumbling to the ground.."
Even after the fire and the mistakes made by Raph (Seriyoga's father), the fae refused to give up hope. She was one of the few to return home and she believed that Seriyoga would do great things for their clan - despite the fact that most of the clan had fled and abandoned the ones who wanted to remain. Isokel knew this was her forever home. It was the place that her children grew up and thrived, and with them now gone on their life journey, she wanted to remain here - keeping them and her memories of them safe too.
"My greatest memory was when I guided my first and last children to the ranks of the Gladekeeper. Almanie and Bertia were the first - one was wise and the other adventurous. My sweet Almanie kept notebooks upon notebooks of stories, and information, and words, and ways of life: she had a thirst for knowledge, but a desire to what was right. Bertia was interested in everything, with a great wonder of the wide world; she wanted to adventure, to explore. Zigo was my last, because his knowledge taught me things I had not yet thought of. He was older before he left, and he told me that I should not be afraid of my fears, and to let things go.
My next children were granted more freedom. Gaheris wanted to become a great father, so he had a grand litter of children, and they ventured among the nature clans. Whisper left here when she was young - she liked the adventure, who knows where she is now. It made me happy seeing them happy, so I learned to let my fears go, and let my children go too."
